Grand Designs

In the summer of 2007 D. Scott & Sons carried out tiling at property filmed by the Channel 4 show 'Grand Designs' - the programme appeared on TV in February 2008.

The owners of the property, nicknamed `the sugar cube', wanted to create a modern, clean looking, minimalist appearance for their family home. Hi-spec materials and quality workmanship was of paramount importance in achieving the design.

Our work involved travertine tiling on the floors throughout the property and a stunning 2 storey high slate wall at one end of the main open plan living area.

The travertine flooring continued through the first floor, whilst minimalist white tiles were fixed to the bathroom walls. A swimming pool was added in the garden, this was also tiled using white ceramics.
